Welcome to St. Andrews three rink Indoor centre
St. Andrews has always been progressive and forward-looking, as early as 1968 the possibilities of having a three rink indoor bowling club, but the finances even in those early days was formidable, it was not until 1976 St. Andrews actually got as far as producing an estimate for an indoor three rink green costing around £30.000. It was not until 1981 discussions were held with the council, regarding the purchase of the club by it's membership, which would give much needed collateral for any financial deals, 1985-86 a committee was formed to plan and cost for a indoor three rink centre.
The dream became reality when, in the summer of 1986, St.Andrews was able to build the first purpose built Indoor Bowling facility in the town. The whole project was completed in 4 months at a cost of £95.000 three times the estimate of the one, ten years earlier.
Since the opening of the Indoor Bowling Club at St.Andrews, the membership numbers have grown steadily to over 300 men and women from all over the area. Regular leagues introduced in the morning, afternoons and evenings over seven days, together with casual and competitions play both National and club, have given the Club good usage and income.
If you would like to play in a team, mornings, afternoons or evenings, or you would like to enter a team, if you are new to this area, or wanting to learn how to play the game of bowls, the club has its own English Bowls Coach Mr David Nutt, he is willing at any time to give you advice and coaching if you need it.
